Rata Forest
We started growing “Rata Forest” from one of the most famous and spectacular places in the world, Milford Sound. One rainy summers day in 2012 we arrive at Milford Sound to take a boat trip down the sounds. Milford Sound is one of the wettest places on earth, on the day it was raining in the morning and all the waterfalls were in full flight!
As the boat left the wharf it was raining as normal and it looked as though we would not see much, but as we travelled down the sound the rain stopped and the sun come out.
By the time the boat returned back down the sound we had clear blue sky. On the way back we stood on the boat deck and in the green forest we saw one tree with bright red flowers. This tree really stood out above the rest and of course it was a Rata tree in full flower.
If one tree by itself was so beautiful then the entire forest would be Remarkable, thus Rata Forest Brand was born. It has been growing ever since.
